Shelter

Make 2022 the year we act to end homelessness

Currently, there are 274,000 homeless people in the UK, an unacceptable number by any measure. Shelter believe in decent secure homes for everyone, which also includes quality homes for social rent and greater security for private renters.

In 2022, Shelter demanded that 3 separate bills were included in the Queen’s Speech. Keeping housing at the very top of the government agenda as the cost of living sky rocketed.

Fronted by Joanne’s shocking story, we launched a campaign to lobby Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

The campaign was supported with an online / print takeover of the Evening Standard, Metro and Telegraph – all timed to land within weeks of the 2022 Queens Speech. For maximum impact.
